In short: Thumb Through collects nothing. It has no account and no servers, it never connects to the internet, and your photos never leave your device.

Your photos

Thumb Through only opens folders you choose in the Files picker, and only while you use it. It reads the photos in that folder to show them to you. When you delete a photo it goes to Recently Deleted in the Files app (or is deleted, where that location has no Recently Deleted). When you keep a photo it stays where it is, or moves to a folder you chose. Nothing is copied, uploaded or sent anywhere.

What the app remembers, on your device

So it can pick up where you left off, Thumb Through saves a few things in its own storage on your iPhone or iPad:

the folders you opened recently, as a permission to reopen them,
the photo you were on in each folder,
which photos you marked as kept, and the history of what you deleted and kept,
your settings, such as the sort order.

This stays on the device. It is not synced, shared or backed up anywhere by us. Deleting the app deletes it.

Network, analytics and tracking

None. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics or crash-reporting software, shows no ads, and does not track you.

Children

The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
